Reishi (ganoderma lucidum) is a polypore mushroom native to East Asia. In the wild, it grows at the base and stumps of deciduous trees, especially maple. It has a long history of use for promoting health and longevity in China, Japan and other Asian countries. In China, G. lucidum is called lingzhi and in Japan, it is called mannentake. Reishi is considered an adaptogen. Adaptogens are natural substances that help the body adapt to stress and maintain balance. This product is processed through screening, manual selection, machine selection, screening of powder, and metal detection. This and all mushroom products are tested organoleptically for quality prior to shipment.
